The Founder Tour
Eight days across two Cape Verdean islands — a settled work-base in Mindelo, then the volcanic trails of Santo Antão — with the founding circle that helps shape what CoworkTours becomes.
This first journey runs for a private founding cohort — the public market opens with trip #2.

The journey
The first journey is not for the crowd — it is for the people who help build the thing. A small founding cohort, hosted in person, on the two islands that hold Cape Verde's soul: Mindelo, the country's music capital, and Santo Antão, its wildest, greenest coast.
We start settled. Four days with a real work rhythm on the São Vicente waterfront — mornings for deep work, afternoons and evenings for the thing Mindelo does better than anywhere: morna. The blues of the Atlantic, learned not as a show but from the people who carry it.
Then we close our laptops and cross to Santo Antão — an hour by ferry, a different planet. Ridges plunge into the ocean; the Cova crater falls away into the Paúl valley. We hike, we cook with local producers, and we leave something behind.
You come home having actually lived somewhere for a week, with a small group of people you now trust. That is the whole idea, run once, for the first time, together.
The two phases
Work-base — Mindelo
Phase 1 · work-enabledSettle into Cape Verde's cultural capital. A dependable work rhythm by day, live music and the bay by night.
Land on São Vicente, airport transfer, settle into the work-base, and a first dinner together on the Mindelo waterfront.
Mornings at the desks with reliable wifi; afternoon walk through Mindelo's old town and colourful market.
Work in the morning, then the signature learning evening — the story and sound of morna, with local musicians.
A lighter work morning, then the beaches and viewpoints of São Vicente before the crossing tomorrow.
Adventure — Santo Antão
Phase 2 · laptops closedLaptops closed. Some of the most dramatic hiking on earth — green ridges falling into the Atlantic.
Morning ferry to Porto Novo, up over the Cova crater rim, and down into the valleys of the greener north.
The legendary descent: from the volcanic crater floor down through terraced farms to the sea. TBC exact route with local guides.
Hands on the ground — time with grogue distillers and farmers, a fair exchange, a small project for the community that hosts us.
A final clifftop walk, the crossing back to São Vicente, and a farewell dinner before departures.

Your host
Hosted in person, by someone who has done this for twenty years.
CoworkTours is led by a founding circle from a global network — 70+ countries travelled, coworking spaces built, and a licensed tour operator on the ground since 2017. You arrive to a real operation, not a brochure.
From the road
What guests will tell you.
Placeholder quotes — the first real voices arrive after the Founder Tour.
“I came to work somewhere warm. I left with a group of people I still travel with.”
“The bit I didn't expect: how much the place gave back, because we actually stayed.”
Questions
Good things to ask.
Do I need to work during the trip?
No. Work is the enabler, not the point. The four-day Mindelo block is set up so you can keep your business running; the Santo Antão block is laptops-closed. Come to belong and explore — work if and when you want.
How much travelling is there day to day?
We deliberately split the trip: a settled work-base first, then adventure. You unpack once in Mindelo, and once on Santo Antão. Only one real move between them — the ~1h ferry.
What's the connectivity like for the work-base?
Mindelo has solid connectivity and we provision a dedicated workspace for the block. Exact venue TBC — confirmed with your onboarding.
Can I extend before or after?
Yes — many guests add days. We'll help you plan the shoulder either side of the dates.
