A small, diverse community living and working somewhere remarkable — slow enough to belong, to give something back, and to come home changed. You keep working, so you can stay for weeks, not days.
A founding cohort — limited places. Help shape the first trip.
Why we exist
Remote work handed us an extraordinary gift: we can live and work from almost anywhere on earth. And yet most of us still travel the old way — fast, shallow, alone. We collect places like stamps, pass through, and the places we pass through stay strangers.
CoworkTours is the opposite of that. It's the choice to go slow and deep — to live and work somewhere long enough to learn its rhythm, sit at its tables, and know a few of its names. Long enough to belong a little. Long enough to be changed.
We believe the world gets kinder when people who would never otherwise meet share a table, a trail, a project — across cultures, ages and backgrounds, because of the differences, not despite them. Diversity met as a gift, not a gap.
And we don't just pass through. We roll up our sleeves — hands on the ground — to give something back to the communities that host us: a skill, some time, a small project, a fair exchange. The change runs both ways: we come home different, and the place we leave is a little more seen, and a little better off, for having met us.
It's the old AIESEC idea we grew up on — that real exchange across cultures quietly changes everyone it touches. CoworkTours is that idea, made into a journey.
A journey that works both ways
You come home different. Not another checklist trip — a few weeks of belonging. You trade the loneliness of the laptop-in-a-café life for a small, trusted, gloriously mixed group. You swap the highlight reel for real connection: people you actually know, a place you actually understand, and a perspective that no longer fits the box you left in. You keep working — but you come home wider than you went.
The place comes out ahead too. We go where almost no one goes — and when we arrive, the money stays: local hosts, guides, cooks and musicians paid fairly and seen clearly. And we lend a hand while we're there — a skill, a project, real contribution. Their culture isn't a photo op; it's the heart of the trip. Exchange, not extraction — leaving dignity and opportunity behind, not just footprints.
That's the why — here's how it actually works.
The idea
Not a coliving space. Not a tour. A curated, hosted journey from arrival to departure, for people who can work from anywhere but would rather not travel alone.
Reliable wifi, a real workspace and a rhythm that respects your work — so being away doesn’t mean falling behind.
Off-the-map places the Bali-and-Lisbon crowd never reaches, at a slow, human pace — with the logistics handled.
Immersive, place-based learning — music, culture, nature — and a small, trusted community to share it with.
Hands on the ground — a skill, some time, a small project for the communities that host us. We leave a place better than we found it.
The first journey
Eight days across two islands, in two phases: one to explore, one to settle and work. Music, ocean and volcanic mountains — with a founding group that helps shape what CoworkTours becomes.
Laptops closed. Hike some of the most dramatic trails on earth — green ridges plunging into the Atlantic — and let the group become a community.
Settle into Cape Verde’s cultural capital — the home of morna and Cesária Évora. A real work rhythm by day, live music and the bay by night.
Morna nights, MindeloWhat’s included
Founding-cohort pricing shared on application. The trip runs once a minimum group is confirmed.
Freelancers, founders and solo professionals who carry their work with them.
You want the real place — its music, food and landscapes — not a resort.
You love to travel but want the safety and joy of a trusted group and a host.
Who’s behind it
CoworkTours isn't one person's company. It's built by a small circle of friends from a global network — people who have spent years opening coworking spaces, running trips, and bringing communities together around the world. We're simply creating the journeys we want to take, together.
No guru, no headliner — just a group of equals who trust each other, sharing what we love: travel, cowork and learning. It also means your trip runs on real spaces and a real ground operation, hosted by people who have done this before — not a brochure.
Tell us a little about you. We’ll share the full itinerary, founding-cohort details and set up a call to see if it’s a fit.
